Software Development

Below, is a list of software projects I completed in a reversed chronological order:

Period 2005-2006

  • StudentGrades
    An application to calculate the final grades of students for the Department of Food Technology (Technological Educational Institution, Thessaloniki, GREECE). The project was implemented in Python as a Tiny ERP module (currently named Open ERP).
  • PracticumOffice
    A web application to assist in managing a student’s 6 month practicing period for the Department of Food Technology (Technological Educational Institution, Thessaloniki, GREECE). The project was implemented using Plone.
  • InfoPoint
    A small Power Point like application for the reproduction of small presentations. It is a client/server application. The Client is the designer and Server is the player. It is promoted mostly in Hotels for the reproduction of advertisements on remote televisions. The project was implemented using python/wxPython.

Period 2003-2004

  • HyperFlow
    A web application to facilitate the automation of ISO 9001:2000 in businesses. The project was implemented using Zope during my employment in AQS as an IT Consultant.
  • e.m.Learn Lexicon
    A Greek to Greek lexicon for the company e.m.Learn Multimedia (formerly known as Librocom). The project was implemented using python/wxPython.
  • e.m.Learn Ancient Greek
    A multimedia application to teach Gymnasium students how to speak and write Ancient Greek. The project was implemented using python/wxPython for the company e.m.Learn Multimedia (formerly known as Librocom).

Period 2000-2002

  • EducProgs
    Development of a program called EducProgs for the Hellenic Army during my national service. The work was accomplished while working for the Training Office. The program’s main purpose was the creation of various data sheets and reports on a daily and weekly basis which were related to the educational system of the military school. The relevant data was stored in a database and the whole development has been done under ZOPE.
  • MultiComp
    Τhe program’s main aim was to provide assistance in multiple comparisons of means after following the main analysis of any statistical programs. MultiComp is being used since 2000 at the Department of Food Technology for the education of students in statistics (developed in python/wxPython – my first desktop application).   • ΤimeΜachine
    The program’s main goal was to do time/cost tracking for Internet Café’s (developed in Zope – my first web application).
